About Harmonium
Vanessa Carlton’s second studio album Harmonium was released in 2004. The album features 11 tracks, all written or co-written by Carlton herself. It is characterized by her distinct piano-driven pop sound, with influences of classical and folk music.
Harmonium contains some of Carlton’s most well-known songs, such as “White Houses” and “Who’s to Say”. “White Houses” is a melancholic, nostalgic tune about a past summer love, while “Who’s to Say” is a more upbeat and optimistic track about taking risks and following one’s dreams.
